Complete Genome Sequences of Three Invasive Strains of Streptococcus pyogenes Subtype emm 5.23 Isolated in Scotland

نویسندگان

چکیده

Streptococcus pyogenes emm 5.23 is uncommon; however, it has recently been involved in a relatively high proportion of cases invasive disease Scotland. Here, we report the complete genome sequences three isolates, which may be used as reference to investigate virulence and epidemiology this strain.

Streptococcus pyogenes strains associated with invasive and non-invasive infections present possible links with emm types and superantigens

Objective(s): Streptococcus pyogenes, a notorious human pathogen is responsible to cause a wide range of infections varies from superficial common clinical illness to severe and life threatening infections. To our knowledge this is the first report exploring the emm types and superantigen/exotoxin gene profile of S. pyogenes from Pakistan. Materials a...

Complete Genome Sequence of emm Type 14 Streptococcus pyogenes Strain HSC5

Streptococcus pyogenes causes a greater diversity of human disease than any other bacterial pathogen. Here, we present the complete genome sequence of the emm type 14 S. pyogenes strain HSC5. This strain is a robust producer of the cysteine protease SpeB and is capable of producing infection in several different animal models.

Draft Genome Sequences of Three Strains of Bacteroides pyogenes Isolated from a Cat and Swine

Here, we report the draft genome sequences of Bacteroides pyogenes JCM 6294(T), JCM 6292, and JCM 10003, which were isolated from a cat and swine and were recently classified into a single species, B. pyogenes. Comparative analyses of these genomes revealed the diversification of B. pyogenes strains isolated from different animals.

Genome sequence analysis of emm89 Streptococcus pyogenes strains causing infections in Scotland, 2010–2016

PURPOSE Strains of type emm89 Streptococcus pyogenes have recently increased in frequency as a cause of human infections in several countries in Europe and North America. This increase has been molecular epidemiologically linked with the emergence of a new genetically distinct clone, designated clade 3. We sought to extend our understanding of this epidemic behavior by the genetic characterizat...

emm gene polymorphism among streptococcus pyogenes isolated from

dna sequencing is the most conclusive method for emm (m protein gene) typing of streptococcus pyogenes. this method is not a feasible approach in developing countries where streptococcal infection is widespread among adults and children. alternatively the pcr-rflp has the potential for rapid screening of different types of s. pyogenes. to document the emm type distribution of s. pyogenes in a g...
